Craftsman #3 sized Smoothing Plane made by Sargent as per the BL marking on the Iron. BB/107 was Millers Falls, BL/619 was Sargent and DD/187 was Stanley made planes.
I think this plane is from 1943-45, there is not a lot of info on the Sargent made Craftsman as there is the Millers Falls, but Sargent was the only maker of Craftsman Planes during 43-45 and this is very similar to the millers falls planes during the 40's. But I am just guessing.
The tote has been cracked and repaired at some point. Also has someone ID marks on the Cheek, see photos
I sort of( but trying not) to collect the craftsman/sears (or any other) planes, but I have so many as it is that I need to get rid of some.
I have done nothing to this plane, it is how I got it. I bought out a large collection of planes recently and this is part of that bunch. Keep an eye on my listings as I will have about 50 planes that I will be listing over the next few weeks as well as some other items..
