Up for sale is a nice Stanley #5 type 11 hand plane. It has the 3 pat. dates behind the frog and the small brass adj. nut. This one has the corrugated sole. The japanning on the plane was very spotty so I stripped it off and re-Japanned it using Stanley's factory recipe and baked it five times. The tote has had part of the horn repaired, see picture. No cracks to the tote or knob. I cleaned up the sides and I flattened the sole and sharpened the iron going through the grits up to 10,000 grit. Good length on the blade. The plane is fully tuned and ready to go to work. Look at the pictures for best description. I always ship fast and safe

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
