Dunlap #3 sized Smoothing Plane by Sargent 1940-54?

Dunlap #3 sized smoothing plane. Dunlap was Sears higher end brand tools from 1939-54 and made by Millers Falls and Sargent. this plane was made by Sargent per the BL and 619 markings. the 619 markings where started in the early 1940's, so I assume this plane is from early 40's to 54.

this is a nice plane other then the tote is home made and does not fit correctly, as well as the tote screw is not the correct one. I somewhat collect the Dunlap and Craftsman planes, but I am trying not to be a collector. I have a couple others already and since I am terrible at making totes, it's a good excuse to sell this one.

Oh, the iron has a chip or 2 in it, see photos, but it's no big deal to fix with a grinder, or a good hand file which is how I do it.

I have not done anything to this plane, it is how I got it. I bought a large collection of planes at once and this is part of the collection. I will have about 20 more to list over the next few weeks.
