ECE (Emmerich) Improved Primus Smooth Plane

ECE Improved Primus Smooth Plane Model 711 I believe. Measures 8-7/8" x 2-5/8", the blade is 1-7/8" wide marked 12 48 Chrome Vanadium. The included ECE catalog from 1986 describes the plane body as pear wood and the sole is Lignum Vitae in excellent condition. I believe the plane is also 1986 vintage, it has an adjustable throat, shows moderate use and is in very good overall condition.

I am a retired mechanical engineer and a life long woodworker. I've participated in and highly recommend Rob Cosman's Purple Heart Project "Training the Hand Workshop" . I volunteer at a charity store called The Tool Thrift Shop in Fairport NY.
