-Sarah The Madd Thrifter
In 1892, two teenage sisters, Clara and Bertha Hatten, started making decorations to sell at the local county fair. Their father, a carpenter, built a small wooden house for them to use as a workshop. The Hatten sisters named their business “House of Hatten” and began creating a variety of ornaments and other holiday decorations. The Hatten sisters used a variety of materials to create their decorations, including wood, fabric, paper, and glass. They often used whatever materials they had on hand, which made their decorations unique and one-of-a-kind. As the sisters’ business grew, they began to purchase more supplies and hire additional workers. Today, House of Hatten is a well-known brand that produces a wide range of holiday decorations. The company’s products are made from high-quality materials and are designed to last for many years. House of Hatten’s products are available in a variety of styles, making it easy to find the perfect decoration for any home.

Collector, admirer, and e-commerce reseller of antiques, vintage, art glass, art pottery, jewelry, and more! Always thriving from the thrill of the hunt, with an eagerness to constantly learn. I have a knack for kitsch, unique OOAK pieces, art glass, vintage collectibles/figurines, and MCM decor. Coming from a third generation "picker," rummage sale hunting, auction bidding family, finding vintage & antique gems have been embedded into my heart and soul! When I'm not out on the prowl for hidden gems, or doing live auctions online, I'm helping out at my father's bullion, coin, & antique store. Not only do I love sharing the beautiful vintage pieces I come across, but I also love to share the knowledge I have about them! After working four jobs and 120 hour weeks, I decided to start my small business from home to spend more time with my family. It has made me the happiest I have ever been. Doing what I love the most, surrounded by the people that mean the most to me.
