The L.E. Smith Glass Company, founded in 1907 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, its most iconic and enduring patterns is "Moon and Stars," introduced in the 1940s. This pattern features a repeating motif of celestial bodies. “Moon and Stars" glass was produced in a variety of colors, with amber being one of the most popular. The pressed glass technique allowed for intricate detailing, and the "Moon and Stars" pattern, with its raised circular "moons" and starbursts. NOTE: Has some glue or wax on the lid.
