On offer here is a vintage wooden molding plane in round form (which renders a ‘hollow’ profile). In very good used condition - iron could use some sharpening.

Some background information gathered from American Wooden Planes by Pollack: In October 1828, Hermon Chapin became the sole owner of the business called Union Factory which was one of the major manufacturers of planes in New England. The mark on the plane at hand was utilized until 1860.
