Back in the early aughts I worked in retail, which meant suits for the most part. I spiced things up with large flashy brooches. I have hung on to my favorites, but now it's time to pass them on. Not much call for them out in the mountains!
This enormous butterfly is created in antique brass finished metal with olive green stones.

I have collected vintage costume jewelry since I was a teenager. Restoring damaged and poorly cared for pieces is my newest passion. These things were often worn during memorable occassions, sometimes the happiest ones in a person's life. I like to think I am helping them live on to do that again for others.
