I have for sale a Miller Falls No. 2 hand drill. Its date of manufacture can be placed sharply between 1929 (when the reinforced spindle housing was introduced) and 1931, when Miller Falls moved its manufacturing facilities to Greenfield MA. This is established because the handle has the triangular logo (introduced in 1921) and the MILLER FALLS, MASS location stamped on the handle along with the logo. The logo is too faint to photograph clearly but is visible, showing the Diamond logo and Miller Falls production location. This drill is in really nice condition, and operates smoothly. It is missing the adjustable friction roller, as are almost all of these old drills. That does not significantly affect operation. There is very, very light, superficial rust on the body and chuck. The handles are all made of hardwood and intact, including the side handle, which many of these drill are missing. It has the triangular logo"chef's cap" head on the handle. All the original drill bits that were in the handle when sold are missing. There are no cracks in any of the wood handles, and no teeth damaged or missing from the drive mechanism. The drill is very smooth and silent, as it should be, when operating. The length of the drill is 14-1/2 inches. I'm selling this only because it's a duplicate; I inherited it from my father in law and I had another one on hand already. Shipping to US customers only, by USPS Ground Advantage mail, at the actual cost of shipment to the buyer's location from Pasadena CA. I will somewhat disassemble the drill to minimize the package size, and thus the shipping cost.
