Authenticity of the creator and subject of this silhouette was verified by the artist's daughter, Joy Anne. I spoke to her at length about her mother's amazing talent. I have included a photo of the back of the silhouette that also verifies that this is authentic. There is also a piece of a playbill or advertisement that was inside the frame that is from Paramount Productions 1936 with a handwritten date of 1954 on the edge. This little piece of art has lots of history in it.
