Stanley No 3 Type 19 - Restored and Tuned

This Stanley No 3, type 19 has been restored and fined tuned to be a great smoother. The sole of the plane has been lapped flat on a zen-wu diamond plate. The blade and chip-breaker have been perfectly fitted, suitable for feathery fine shavings. The back of the iron has been flattened and polished and brought a razor sharp edge on a 1000 grit diamond stone. The horrible black paint on the tote and knob has been removed and replaced with a light coat of shellac and paste wax. Japanning has been mostly left alone, any missing japanning has been spot treated with glossy black paint to protect the underlying metal. All in all, this plane should be ready to work right out of the box.

When shipped, the plane will be coated in a light oil and wrapped in plastic to prevent rust during transit. The plane will be shipped usps priority mail flat rate.
