Stanley No 3 Smoother - Clean and Sharp

Stanley Bailey No 3 smoothing plane. Made in England. 1 3/4" wide iron. Cleaned, iron sharpened and bottom flattened. Ready to make shavings. I redid the hardwood tote and knob a deep red after removing a horrid bright green paint job. Being made in England it does not follow the standard type study. The body has the arched buttress frog receiver design same a US type 19. Nuts for the tote and knob are aluminum. I added a steel depth adjuster to match. Has the frog adjustment screw and the split adjustment yolk. All screws and threading are the same as US Stanley planes.

A No 3 smoother is a nice plane to have. Great for smaller hands. Narrower and lighter than a 4 for use on narrow stock.
