Stanley Defiance jack plane. Same size as a Stanley Bailey No 5 jack - 14" long and 2" iron. Solid user. Cleaned, bottom flattened and sharpened. Comes with a Stanley Bailey Sweetheart iron, but it's rather short. I polished the nickel plated lever cap. I believe this is a 1930's model.
See the pictures. Knob and tote are hardwood. They have scuffs in the top coat, but no cracks or repairs. A previous owner painted it black, it was a grey-green. The paint itself is fine, but they did paint the lateral, the adjuster knob and frog - without removing the frog first. I removed the paint from the adjuster. When assembled the paint job looks okay.
Great starter plane. Also a great candidate to make into a dedicated scrub plane.
Happy to answer questions. If the short iron is holding you back - message me and we can work something out.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
