Stanley No 7 jointer plane with corrugated bottom. It's an early type 7 from 1893-1899. A previous owner had repainted the body but not very well. I stripped it down and repainted it and the back/sides of the frog with Duplicolor 1635 ceramic engine paint. Looks great. Rosewood tote has some cool dark veining. The knob is fully intact, no cracks/checks but has acquired dings over the years. Bottom flattened, iron is sharp and its ready for action.
See the pictures. There is an owner mark down by the heel. The tote has horn repair that blends in well. The body and lever cap have an S casting mark. The frog is marked with a nib and the depth adjuster is right hand thread. That combination why I think its an early type 7 because the type study notes it was during type 7 that they switched the threading. Iron is from the type 16 era and stamped with "238" which means 2nd quarter 1938.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
