Details
Stanley No 78 rabbeting/fillister plane with fence, depth stop and spur/nicker. V logo iron and the 1910 patent date place it as being made in the 1910's. This is same era as the Stanley Bailey Type 11 bench planes. Iron is sharp with lots of length. This plane has seen a working life in its 100+ years. And it's ready for a few more lifetimes of making shavings. The japanning is about 50% overall with the typical seemly mandatory random paint splatters.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
