Up for sale is an outstanding Stanley #6 type 9(1902-1907) hand plane. This one has a smooth sole and it is flat. It has the Q Logo iron and I have sharpened it going through the grits up to 8000. The Japanning was very spotty so I stripped it off and re-Japenned it using Stanley's factory recipe and baked it 5 times to set the Japanning. The dark rosewood tote and knob are crack free and show there original patina. Really nice 120 year old plane. It is ready to go to work in your shop or to display with your collection.
