Stanley No 6 fore plane with a lot of history. About 18" long with a 2 3/8" wide iron. This one is a type 8, 1899-1902. Stanley did not start putting Bailey on sole until the type 9's. It's been cleaned and sharpened. Rosewood knob and tote. The horn on the tote was repaired. This plane has been used a lot during its life. The spot where you rest your right thumb on the tote has actually been worn slightly down by usage and fits your hand even better.
See Rex's video on fore planes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfqYD2rwY_c
See the pictures. Back lower corner of the tote has some grooves but you don't notice them at all with a right hand grip. Owner marks on the knob and tote. Sole was flattened and it does have some pitting but it is in places that don't matter for function. Iron is cambered and has decent length left. Some japanning loss but for a 125 year old tool that was used a lot its in overall good shape.
Happy to answer questions.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
