Stanley #6 Fore Plane #355

Stanley #6 fore plane in good worker condition. This is a very early example with the lower front tote. This plane comes from a collection of planes used in a hand tool woodworking school where it was in daily use. The blade on this plane is sharpened with a large camber to facilitate quick and heavy stock removal allowing for higher speed flattening of larger surfaces. There is a chip in the top of the rear tote but it is solid. There is a small amount of pitting on the sole near the mouth but it does not affect the use. To reduce shipping costs the front tote will be removed for shipping.
