Up for sale is a nice Stanley #4 type 11 hand plane. This one has the corrugated sole and it is flat. I have cleaned up the sides and re-Japanned the bed baking it 5 times to set the Japanning. I have sharpened the iron going through the grits up to 8000. This plane has an older Q iron. The dark rosewood tote and knob show their original patina. The tote and knob are in great shape with no cracks or major chips or dings. Super nice plane ready to go to work in your shop.

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
