Up for sale is an outstanding Stanley #4 type 9 hand plane. This one has the corrugated sole.It has the Q logo iron and I have sharpened it going through the grits up to 8000. The Japanning was very spotty so I stripped it off and re-Japanned it using Stanley's factory recipe and baked it 5 times to set the Japanning . The lever cap has the B casting mark and the lateral adj. lever has 1 patent date stamped on it. This is typical Stanley using up older parts on newer models. The tote and knob are crack free and show their original dark rosewood patina. Super nice no problem 120 year old plane. These problem free planes are getting harder to find .
