Up for sale is a nice Stanley #4 type 16 hand plane. This one has a smooth sole. I have re-Japanned it using Stanley's factory recipe and baked it 5 times on low heat to set the Japanning. I have lapped the sole and it is flat, didn't have to do much. I have also sharpened the iron going through the grits up to 8000. This plane has some pitting on the sole but that will not hurt the performance of the plane. The tote and knob are crack free and in great shape. The plane has a lever cap from an eariler model, typical Stanley, and has the BB logo on the iron.
