Stanley #3C Smoother Type 18 - tuned and sharp

Stanley Bailey No 3 corrugated smoothing plane. Iron is stamped "347" which is Q3 of 1947 - type 18. Japanning is excellent. I redid the black lacquer on the hardwood knob and tote - no cracks or repairs. Iron is sharp and bottom was flattened but it barely needed anything. Iron still has lots of length.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
