Up for sale is a super nice Stanley #3 type 9 hand plane. It has a smooth sole and it is in great shape and is flat. It has the 2 patent dates and no frog adj. feature. It has the Q logo iron and it is 7 inches long. I have sharpened the blade going through the grits up to 8000. The Japanning was very spotty so I stripped it off and re-Japanned it using Stantley's factory recipe and baking it 5 times to set the Japanning. The tote and knob show their beautiful dark rosewood patina. The knob is nice with no problems. I have done a repair on the tote, and it is strong and looks great, look at the last picture.
