Siegley #6 Pattern Makers Plane
A very hard plane to find. Originally this would have had 5 detachable beech soles and irons. . This is a great piece for any Siegley Collector or a collector who just likes cool hand planes. . . R.J. Lippey is stamped on the iron. Based on historical records from around 1912, R.J. Lippey Pattern Works was a company that was absorbed by the Easton Tool & Machine Co.. Easton Tool & Machine Co. announced that they had absorbed both the Jackson Vise & Tool Co. and the R.J. Lippey Pattern Works. The company was involved in the manufacturing, tool, and pattern-making industry during the early 20th century. .
