Sargent 79 rabbet and fillister plane. Cleaned and sharpened. Complete with fence, depth stop and spur. Same 1 1/2" wide iron as a Stanley 78. Sargent made many rabbet planes sold as Crafstman and the only difference between the two brandings was the stamp on the iron. The Craftsman iron is from the 1930's going by the style of the trademark. The body of the plane has the stipple pattern which I think Sargent didn't use until the 1940's. Sargent made it but I can't tell whether it's officially a Sargent or Craftsman brand.
Similar size and same function as a Stanley 78. See the pictures. Japanning on the body, especially on the handle is worn which is very common. Has the typical paint splatters. Came to me covered in old oil but it cleaned up very nicely. Nickel plating on the thumbscrews is still very good. The iron appears full length. Odd casting mark on the right side appears original or somebody redid the japanning a long time ago.
Happy to answer questions.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
