Sargent 79 Rabbet Plane with Fence and Depth Stop

Sargent 79 rabbet and fillister plane. Cleaned and sharpened. Complete with fence, depth stop and spur. Same 1 1/2" wide iron as a Stanley 78. Not sure when this one was made but suspect 1940's. The iron is probably older than the plane. Sargent used the disc shaped spur instead of the clover shape that Stanley used.

Long time hobby woodworker. Most of that has been as a power tool user but in the last several years I've taken up hand tools and love it. Also found that I really like putting old iron back into service.
