PRICE REDUCED! This is a complete Record 148 doweling jig, complete with all parts including the requisite brad point drill bit. The original box is included (old, taped and shabby but intact) the instruction manual, and a spare parts order form denominated in British pence, dated 11/74.

I inherited this from my father in law, who might have used it once or twice but it appears new except for a bit of accumulated sawdust.

The cardboard box is intact, but in fairly shabby shape; it is held together with masking tape that as applied a decade or two ago.

This has all the parts, including the special C clamp made of 1/8” steel to minimum bushing centers of 1”. The instruction manual is in good shape, considering that it was printed in 1973.

This item even has a nostalgia-inducing parts order form denominated in British Pounds and Pence, listing the cost of (for example) drill bushes in three sizes for 31 pence each pair. You can mail the order form back to the address listed, in Sheffield, England, but the prices probably are higher now.

The jig allows construction of doweled framing in four joints (corner, Tee, miter and leg) and carcase joints with up to 6” wide boards as corner, shelving or miter joints. (Wider boards could be used with accessory longer rods, which are NOT included in this sale but might be available elsewhere.)
