Rare Antique Star Tool Co Try Square

This is an antique Star Tool Co try square. Measures 4-1/2" x 7-1/2" (see pictures). Blade has 6" of measurement with 1/8" graduations.

It is marked on one side of the handle with the words "Tool Co" inside the Star - the emblem of Star Tool Co. A similar etching is visible on the blade (see pictures of both).

The escutcheons around the rivets and the facing on the handle are brass.

Condition of the handle is good, with minor scratches and dings in the wood (see pictures for details).

Condition of the blade is good with a gorgeous patina.
