Details
This listing is for a Miller Falls No. 5 drill. To be precise, it is assumed to be a that product, but the handle and knob are non-original and have no markings.
The drill includes 8 fluted drill bits, which I believe are those sold with the drill.
Despite the non-original handle, this is a fine drill for shop use. It has a patina but no meaningful rust anywhere. The wood handle is intact and has no cracks. It has the egg-shaped cap.
The handle and crank nob appear to have been shop-made by a prior owner. The handle is flat and slightly wider than the standard Miller Falls handle. It appears to be ever so slightly non-symmetrical, and therefore handmade but well made. The knob appears to have been hand-turned from stainless steel. It is attached to the crank with a stainless steel bolt and three small nuts. So that it is firmly affixed but rotates freely as the drill is cranked. The friction adjustment screw is intact. The gears are clean and unbroken, and function smoothly and quietly.
I inherited this from my father in law, and it is surplus to my needs so I am selling it. I already have a pair of Miller Falls NO. 2 drills, one of which is also for sale here.
Shipping to US customers only, by USPS Ground Advantage mail, at the actual cost of shipment to the buyer's location from Pasadena CA.
