Lot of 3 Not Stanley Planes, #4 size and 2 Block Planes

$25.00

Details

Lot of 3 Not Stanley Planes.

#1 Consolidated Tool Works Block Plane. All the info I can find in a quick search on them is they operated out of New York City from 1890-1920's. Just looking at this block plane, it does look to be similar to the other block planes I have/had from the early part of the 1900's.

#2 Capwell Block Plane. Made by Peak, Stowe & Wilcox also known as PS&W and Pexco. Made sometime during or before the 1940's, but I am not sure.

#3 Great Neck Corsair #4 Sized Bench Plane. hairline crack in the mouth Great Neck used to make good tools and have been around since the 1920's or earlier. This one has plastic tote and knob, so it is more modern, maybe from the late 70's to the 80's, I am just guessing. I think it would be better suited for a Scrub Plane I noticed when taking photos that the mouth is cracked, so best used as a scrub plane or parts.

Retired Archaeologist now working for city of Lexington Engineering Dept. Have been a carpenter and woodworking for some time, just switched over to hand tools several years ago. But now my health has changed, I have no kids and if Gods will, will be retiring and moving to Philippines in the next 5 Years. So I am slowly selling off tools (and other things) that I know I will not be hauling across the world. When the time comes, I may sell off more, but for now all my extras or things I bought to resale need to go....Heck I may just sell it all and not touch a tool again depending on my health in 5 years....
