Japanese Rabbit Plane, iron is 11/16? 17-18mm. I have used this some, but the pulling of a plane is just awkward to me, so I use my Craftsman version of a 78, a 45 or a saw (either hand or table) The iron is sharp, I have never sharpened it or set it, this is how I got it in a bunch of Japanese tools from an eBay seller in TX a couple years ago that screwed me.
Anyway, see the photos as the body is cracked behind the iron, like I said, I have used this and it's fine, but I guess if you where beating on it with a hammer trying to go through a knot or something, it would break. If I where to keep this, I would just make a new body, but I ain't.
I am selling off almost all my stuff over the next 2 years to prepare to retire and move to the Philippines. I am going on Vacation in May, so I will only be listing a few items until I get back, then if I have time I am going to work hard on selling stuff I do not need, then start on the stuff that I have no plans on taking with me.

Selling since November 2024
Retired Archaeologist now working for city of Lexington Engineering Dept. Have done carpenter and woodworking for a long time, just switched over to hand tools several years ago. But now my health has changed, I have no kids and if Gods will, I will be retiring and moving to Philippines in the next 2 Years. So I am slowly selling off tools (and other things) that I know I will not be hauling across the world.
