Craftsman By Sargent Type 8 or 9 (1935-36?) Rough

Craftsman #4 sized bench plane made by Sargent (BL stamp) I think this is a type 8 or 9, making it made from around 1935-36 or so, but check for your self, I may be wrong.
Plane is in need of restoration, but will make a good user. I somewhat collect Craftsman (and other sears brand) planes and was going to clean this up, but that will never happen now.
Time to sell a lot of my "keepers" for someone else to enjoy.
If this does not sell in a reasonable amount of time, I will just keep for parts for my users..

Selling since November 2024
Retired Archaeologist now working for city of Lexington Engineering Dept. Have been a carpenter and woodworking for some time, just switched over to hand tools several years ago. But now my health has changed, I have no kids and if Gods will, will be retiring and moving to Philippines in the next 5 Years. So I am slowly selling off tools (and other things) that I know I will not be hauling across the world. When the time comes, I may sell off more, but for now all my extras or things I bought to resale need to go....Heck I may just sell it all and not touch a tool again depending on my health in 5 years....
