Antique Thick Tapered W. Butcher Double Plane Iron 2-1/8" Wide

A solid antique thick tapered double iron for wooden jack planes by W. Butcher. It has been given a brand new bevel that is square to the body. The face will still need prepped and it will need honed for use. There is no maker's mark on the iron itself, but there is a faint mark on the cap iron. It is a rarer size at 2-1/8" wide and it is 6-1/2." There is some mushrooming at the top, which typical as adjusting during use requires hammer taps.
