Antique 1890 Patent Marsh Mitre Machine Clamp, Clamp Screw, Collar & Pin

$29.00

Details

This a nice replacement clamp, clamp screw, collar, and pin for a Marsh. The mitre machine was patented in the 1890's and produced in Rockford, IL until it was sold to Stanley in the 1920's. Each mitre machine had 2 of these - one with "H.C. Marsh" cast into the clamp, and one with "Rockford, IL" cast into the clamp. This one has Rockford, IL but will work on the left or right side. It has a black Japanned finish, which is present, but worn. It is 7-1/2" long with right-handed threads (turning the knob to the left tightens the clamp). Please note that this is different from later versions which had left-handed threads. The mitre machine is often found with a broken handle and or clamp. This one is a nice replacement to put your mitre machine back in use. There is no damage and it works perfectly. This nice replacement is ready for use on your Marsh Mitre Machine. See last photo for patent drawing.
