Details

This unique pitcher is a beautiful addition to any collection. Handmade in Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania in 1994, it features a gray and green salt glaze finish and measures 6.25 inches in height and length, with a width of 4.75 inches and a diameter of 4 inches. The pitcher is a genuine original from Westerwald Pottery, signed by owner Phil Schaltenbrand (1942-2021), and is in very good vintage condition.

The glaze on the outside of the pitcher is perfect, but the inside has some wear. (I would guess it was used as a vase.) There are no chips or cracks. There is one raised spot where extra clay was baked into the pitcher when it was made - see close up picture. This is a beautiful, handmade item.
