I have the Iron Snail Samaras coming in at a smaller size but they said it should not be as narrow as its a different sole that allows the upper to go wider than the base. I went a little crazy and am getting a bunch of winter shoes just in time for spring lol.

I need a new pair of shoes, let me know how those Goralβs end up feeling
I got my Goral Muggs in (manly uggs), they are amazing. It takes awhile as I ordered these in January. But if you really wanted a super premium handmade sneaker I can give it my seal of approval. If it has a cup sole though (this is the old fashioned sneaker sole), just be careful of the sizing, I have a super wide foot, so had to size up a lot even though they offer an E width. It only worked out cause the muggs are shearling and have fur in them so the extra length is not a big deal.

Haven't used my Hydrolock yet as I put my Fellow Carter Move Travel mug in the bag. Right now I use the side pocket for my wallet and work ID. Easy to swing and grab them when needed. Not enough bags have semi hidden pocket there.

I'm rocking a Able carry daily plus for EDC and a CTB 20/26 as a personal item while traveling
Reported Message
for EDC, I like to keep the water bottle inside the main compartment since I don't carry a lot. However, when I travel, an external water bottle is a must because I want to leave as much space as possible in the main compartment for stuff.
Reported Message
Giving the Hydrolock another shot and itβs getting easier to put it on now that I know the other clip isnβt mandatory.
I still think I prefer keeping the bottle inside the bag though, and since the main compartment is so easy to get into, I feel like accessibility is essentially the same with either method.

I have an Ape case and I'm going to put it sideways in the pack. The bag has side access, so hoping I can then pull it out from there as needed.
Iβve never heard of these before! Seem cool! Might check it out for my Fyro.

Camera bag? How does this work with a camera? Super curious.

Actually migrating over to GR for my backpacks. Sticking with TB for pouches and side bags though.

Also, if it helps I can amend my initial thoughts on the Fyro website. Shouldβve asked you first about the hydrolock before leaving the review, honestly, so thatβs my fault.
no its all good dude! its my fault for not explaining it properly - I realize now just how thorough I need to be especially with complicated features like the Hydrolock. I hope that we can make it slightly more user-friendly over our next iterations

As for your comments about the Hydrolock - I did a very bad job explaining that it does NOT need to be attached to that back clip. Our development team wanted to put it there just in case anyone wanted extra extra reinforcement, but in two years of me using the bag I never once clipped it into the back woojing clip, just the 3 front clips and its always worked 100% perfectly

Ok. Thanks for explaining that. I will try the hydrolock again. Initial set up was VERY frustrating. And without that back clip, I found it very hard to get a water bottle in there, even using the pull tab for extra leverage. BUT, I will try again today and see how I feel about it.
Reported Message
oh lol, I was clipping that back one cause I'm a completionist. I'll treat it like the bottom button on a suit or vest, never to be used lol. It actually is pretty easy on the side that bottom up, but the top down one makes it sort of stretch.

Iβm telling you right now, having the hatch is a game changer for coffee shop work culture. Truly.
I havenβt owned a laptop in years and just use my iPad Pro but Ive been looking for a used MacBook since I got a job editing/publishing videos for my friends new YouTube channel and I need to be able to edit away from home too.
But the T22 is truly a game changer for those of us who work at coffee shops or at an office, even.
Iβve got a few issues with it, but nothing thatβs so major that it undoes what the Hatch and the overall function of the bag brings to the table.
love this feedback Jeff and thank you so much! And totally agreed, I'm working at coffee shops almost daily right now and the access to your work gear with the Hatch and overall setup really feels like a game-changer πͺ

thanks for the write up John and can't wait to see it on Reddit! You and I are the same - materials and how they feel on the hand is so critical to the overall user experience. The other fabric we used that I love is the Lycra (basically spandex) on the shoulder straps and back panel. Reallyy expensive but super lush feel to it

My Alpaka Metro Crossbody arrived this morning. Initial impressions are fantastic. I was worried about picking the wrong orientation, I am right handed. Left shoulder version is perfect for accessing the interior while wearing the pack. Most likely the stabilizer strap will be removed, not really my thing. An Iphone 14 Pro in case fits the shoulder strap pocket but I doubt a plus would fit. A water bottle does intrude into the main area but it is to be expected and it is really not too horrible.

I haven't used it back, I normally am a suitcase guy but I'll take it to work next week. That synthetic leather in the laptop and tablet sleeves feel gooood. I'm a materials and handfeel guy and I think Aaron did a really good job. Even the polycarbon fabric feels pretty premium. I'd say the Fyro design language is similar to Aers but a little less weighty looking. Maybe a Peak meets Aer in design, but with a focus on handfeel/inner materials.

I love love the gussets and standing stance of this bag. Its essentially a clamshell for anyone complaining about it, there are little to no scenarios that you the gussets would prevent you from using the bag even if you wanted to lay it flat an packing it, it opens that wide.

Thanks for the very detailed and helpful reply Really hope youβre enjoying using it

The Fyro has a nice premium feel with every point of interation you regularly use, the handle, the back and inner straps, the zipper pulls are nice and wide for a hypalon (sometime hyplon pulls are narrow). Zippers feel good, the stretch parts are really nice, and the padding is plush, the hatch has satisfying magnetic thunk. My only pain point was moving the sternum strap, removing it is tough, I'd say save your fingernails and use a spoon or butterknife to ease that clip off the nylon (don't break it though lol). Also on one side the inner plastic hydrolock connects bottom up (this is easier on the inside) and on the other side its top down, like the rest of the outer locks. Top down is easy on the outer locks, but bottom up is easier on the inner lock, its fine though, its just a stretch if its top down.
