My love of vintage and antiques grew in my early 30's the beauty and craftmanship was something I was always drawn to. There’s something so special about antiques—it's like each item carries a piece of history with it. The craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into creating something in an era before mass production often feel so unique and personal. It's fascinating to think about how the items were made by skilled artisans who put their heart and soul into their work.
Do you have a favorite type of antique or a specific period or style that you gravitate toward? Whether it's furniture, jewelry, or smaller items, each piece has its own story. And I imagine the more you learn, the richer the connections become with the world events and the people who might have used or owned those items. I think my connection was deepened as I went through my grandparents belonging after their passings. Those random items I saw as a child were now my most cherished items—those items became more than just objects; they became links to my family’s story, to the memories, and to a time that can never be replaced.
The idea of preserving and passing down that connection to future generations is incredibly powerful. My passion for antiques, and the way you want to pass on the value of craftsmanship and hard work,... It’s like a legacy of not just objects, but also values that transcend time.
My desire to help others connect to their own histories through vintage and antiques is my calling.
Curating a bridge between generations, helping people see the beauty in what’s often overlooked in today’s fast-paced world. Teaching my daughter and grandchild to appreciate that craftsmanship, and the stories behind each item, is an incredible gift.
