This is a Vintage set of 2 tile featuring Cats from the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. Dated 1994 The design was taken from a woodcut by Felix Vallotton, a French/Swiss Artist. He was an important figure in the development of the modern woodcut. He painted portraits, landscapes, nudes, still lifes, and other subjects in an unemotional, realistic style
One tile has "Two Cats" - It features a black and white cat silhouettes looking at each other. Initial of FV in the right hand corner. The second tile is a beautiful image of "Rudyard Kipling's - The Cat that Walked by Himself"
The tiles are 6 x 6 inches.and approx .25 inch thick. The cork backing is in excellent condition.
These are being sold as used- they are in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. The cork on back is very clean and fully intact.Non smoking home Non pet home.
