WOW! I purchased these and they were in a sealed bag, I thought they were figurines they are so beautifully painted and when I got them home, was surprised to find they are salt and pepper shakers Honestly, they are so great I would just sit them on a shelf and they are so well painted, it would be your secret. I think they are special but could not find another like them. The shakers are marked 1078 on the bottom and my gut tells me they may be from Japan but I'm not sure. They are matte finish, not shiny and if I had done this beautiful paint work, I certainly would have signed them. They both say 1078 on them but I like that they are different. Shakers are approximately 4" long, they differ a bit in height but the green headed duck is approximately 3" tall. There are a few tiny flea bite chips but they are so lovely, easy to overlook. They are empty, I didn't take the stoppers out but shook them upside down. Sold as shown, please see all photos.
