Vintage 9" Coin Piggy Bank Hippopotamus Hippo Shaped 1960s 70s Open Mouth Decor

This looks to be from a mold made in Japan, circa 1960s to 1970s. Has a ceramic / chalkware / plaster type feel for the material. You can see there is some wear on the coin slot and there is no stopper. Still a fantastic piece that can be displayed anywhere! Measures roughly 9 inches long and weighs 1 lb.
