Up for sale is a nice Stanley #4 early type 11. This one has a smooth bottom. I say it's an early type 11 as it has the older T logo iron, low front knob and barrel nuts on the bolts. The Japanning was very spotty on it so I stripped it off and re-Japanned it using Stanley's factory recipe and baked it on low heat 5 times to set the Japanning. I cleaned up the sides and have also lap the sole flat. I have sharpened the iron going through the grits up to 8000. The tote and knob are in great shape and crack free.
