Details
This is a lovely keyboard. It includes a soft carrying case with a handle. The case includes the keyboard as well as extra parts such as alternative gasket mounts, and additional screws. Also included is an FR4 plate that you can use instead of the POM plate I used. I also used Durock stabilizers and the original stabs are in the carrying case. The board is cnc'd dark navy anodized aluminum with a metal weight in the bottom of the case and a gold badge set in the outside bottom which otherwise is copper. It is a quick-release board with the top and bottom halves of the case connected by a ball/catch mechanism. The interior jst cable has been replaced by magnetic pogo pins.
For switches, if you want linear switches you can select Everglide Aqua King for a smooth, quiet press; Durock Black Lotus Linear switches, also smooth and quiet; or TTC Venus Linear, also very smooth and almost soundless; or Vertex V1, still smooth but with a bit more sound. If you want tactile, you can select JWK Black T1 having a noticable bump but making almost no sound; Kailh Midnight Pro silent Tactile; Kailh Box Bamboo for a little thock along with the bump; or Akko Creamy Cyan for a more clicky sound. For keycaps, you can choose from Glorious GPBT Nebula (red tones) or Glorious GPBT Ocean (blue and green tones). Each are high quality caps with thick walls made from PBT with dye-sub legends. You also can choose an ocean theme with a very nice space bar or a "Melted Yogurt" theme from Keygeak. Please note that you can select only one set of switches and one set of keycaps.
Everything discussed above is shown in the photos except for the switches. Most of those can be heard at https://www.taxnerds.com/keyboards.html
I bought the barebones board for over $200 plus shipping. With these switches and keycaps, my out of pocket cost is $300 or more.

Selling since June 2024
I am a university professor in the greater Boston area. I have purchased multiple keyboards (and sometimes multiple versions of the same keyboard) to better understand what affects the sound and feel of keyboards. After a small amount of use, I then list them for sale, always below the current cost of the board.
