Oh, it might not be hot-swappable, which would be less great. Mine will arrive tomorrow so I'll check - easy to return if it's truly bad.

Wireless 65% board with a knob for $32.50 but there is a $15 off coupon. Probably not great but $23 with tax is pretty cheap for something you can just throw around

HMX switches will be coming. I have a lot of switches to test. I prefer louder switches. My current favorite is Gateron Green Apple. Loud and heavy spring generating both auditory and tactile feedback for a poor typist.

I have started posting comparative sound recordings of various keyboard switches. You can find them at https://www.taxnerds.com/keyboards.html . More recordings will be posted over the coming days. Nothing is for sale on my web site.
I love Vertex V1's, especially for the price! Super smooth and thocky. You should try HMX Hyacinth V2U switches - currently my favorite. They're a little clacky, similar to the Feker Marble Whites, but better in every way in my opinion. Cost is only slightly higher ($29 for 100 on milktooth.com).

I recently put this board together. I love it, but the GMK Shoko clones make me wish I had the real thing

Sale is live now! They're offering $10 off (Early Bird special) for both boards currently, though I'm not sure how long this will last. I bought Neo65, ano grey with mirror dusk weight - I just hope the weight looks nice in person.

Anyone planning on buying Neo60 or Neo65 Cu? Group buy starts on the 28th! I dislike Qwertykeys' shipping fees, but I think I'll bite the bullet and get a Neo65 Cu. Still torn on which combination to get

Where is the blue one listed for $70
That was from a few days ago - it looks like the sale price on the blue one has ended. Now the purple one is also $59.99 though!

Thanks for the heads up on that. Your note was the first I heard it was reversed. Sounds like they realized they need a proper way for the tariff taxes to be collected. The system just is not prepared for that change yet.
Reported Message
The de minimis exception to Chinese tariffs has been restored. Problem solved, at least for a while.
Reported Message
You should be notified when the keyboard arrives at US Customs. They accept payment by check but not by credit card (unless they are changing that). You may also have to pay a customs clearance fee of almost $40 in addition to any tariff.
Reported Message
So I have an order from a company in China and they are guesstimating that I will owe a 35% tariff on the order. Do any of you know how we will be expected to pay the tariff? Wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation? They removed the deminimums exemption for small orders so tariffs apply to everything coming from China. Just not sure how the government expects to collect all the tax for these small orders.

I'd love to see some more colors / options for the Neo65 Cu. The back weight seems really unique and pretty. If you can resist buying the Polygon 7 now, you can save that money and apply it towards the Neo65 Cu!

Should I buy the Polygon 7 or wait until the Neo65 Cu comes out
I would probably wait for the Neo65 Cu if you are picking between the 2. Even with the silly shipping from QK, I think I'll bite the bullet and get the Neo65 Cu also when it comes out.

I have the Neo 75 cu and like it a lot. But it was quite a bit more expensive than the Neo65 will be, so I don't know what to tell you. Both boards should be keepers.

The Polygon 7 looks to be a very nice board. You can get it with all three plates, the foam kit, and an extra tri-mode PCB for a very reasonable $170. I like it a lot.

Speaking of clicky switches, I just ordered a set of Kailh Box Bamboo switches, and I just received a set of Monsgeek Heavy Tactile Switches. I've got a set of the Melodic switches, but I haven't put them in a board. I really like the Gateron Green Apple heavy tactile switches.
I've resolved to stop buying keyboards on a whim. I should have extended that to switches . . . .
Lol yes I looked back at the end of my first year in the hobby and noticed that I had spent over $1000. Curbing my enthusiasm for my second year by giving my self a budget. Trying to find ways I can enjoy the boards I have more and be more selective about what I buy that is new. Thinking I will probably eventually be ready to sell a few boards to fund some of Year three. I will need a new storage solution if I get many more keyboards.

And the price is really appealing (minus the QK shipping fees, /sigh).

Feker Marble White are indeed very nice, especially for the price - $25 for 100 switches is a great deal (free shipping)! They're designed to be more clacky (as well as "marbly"), like most of HMX switches, which would explain higher decibel point, though this doesn't really make a significant difference in practice as long as you find a sound signature that is pleasing to your ear. Thanks for the link for the knob module - I'm going to get one to try also.

The chart for tactile switches show that they are the loudest topping out at 95 dBA

My current theory is that most people don't like clicky switches because of the type of noise rather than the loudness of the noise. I say this because a lot of linear switches are just as loud or louder than the clicky switches. Switch and Click recently called out a linear switch for being to loud to take to the office similar to a clicky switch. I like looking at Click and Thock's sound output charts at the end of a switch roundup to get a feel for how loud a switch is. According to Click and Thock the Melodic switch is 3 dBA less than the box jade switch so I think it will not be to loud in the end.

Just using the decibel meter on my iphone the Marble White switches are 5 dB louder than my loudest clicky switches. Not sure if that is because of how good the TH80 Pro is at dampening the switch noise of the clicky switch vs the Galaxy 80. Curious what the noise level will be for the Melodics vs the Marble Whites in the same board. I know that some boards are just louder than others. My box jades are registering 10 dB below what others have rated them for sound output. Was curious so I popped a box jade switch in to the Galaxy 80 and its still 5 dB below the sound output of the Marble White switches.
Reported Message
It came with three of them installed on the board to hold things in place. I agree that they are nice and sound nice but I opted for a set of Gateron Melodic switches for this build. My personal preference is clicky switches excited to try a new set out.

Did you buy Feker Marble White switches from WhatGeek? They are very reasonably priced and sound great on this board. They are the switches you get on the fully assembled model. Marbly smooth.

Just realized today why the F13 socket looks different on the Galaxy 80. Its got the extra contact plates for a hot swap knob. Did some research and found reports that the Skyloong knob plugs in and works with no additional programing to the Galaxy 80. The knob is just $10 so I went ahead and purchased one. https://www.whatgeek.com/products/skyloong-knob-module-cnc-aluminum-for-gk75-gk980 />
