Dichroic Glass Art Piece By Elizabeth Dunlop

That beautiful piece of red wavy is something I can’t get anymore, it was discontinued a few years ago and actually that particular color (the red), that changed a few years ago as well when EPA told the glass companies they could not use cadmium in their reds anymore.

Anyway, the piece is made out of glass, COE96, and the main focal part is, of course, the dichroic glass, developed by NASA glass. I’ve layered different pieces of it, I baked it at a tack fuse, which means it went up to about 1400°. I then cooled it down slowly; this was mounted on a piece of black glass.
