Cat Mom & Pop Salt and Pepper Shakers Made in Japan Vintage 1940s. These Cats are so colorful and in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks or crazing. They are handpainted. The overall color of the Salt & Pepper Shakers is a orange yellow color. The mom cat has a green bow on top of her head, her eyes and nose are black and she has bright red lipstick on. She is wearing a green formal gown and her tail sticks out of her dress in the back. Her paw is reached out towards the Pop Cat as if to say, "Where have you been?" The Pop Cat has a red hat on his head and is wearing a green sweater. He has one eye open and one shut and are painted black along with his nose. He is holding a fish in one hand. I think he has been fishing and drinking and is in big trouble with Mom. They measure 3" tall They have their original corks, however the Pop Cats cork is inside.
These are vintage items and condition is to be expected with age.
