Antique Meiji Period - Japanese Satsuma Blue Frame with Birds & Chrysanthemums Belt Buckle circa: 1868-1912

This piece is quite lovely. The enamel was done traditionally evidenced by the crazing. Hand painted with a raised copper and zinc metal painted accent. The art work is fascinating.

The circle cross is Shimazu Mon, which is the crest of the ruling family of Satsuma in that period.

Each side measures about 1.5” Total connected about 3.25” In very good antique condition - needs some cleaning.
