Broad strokes yes should be a decent investment. But there are a lot more factors to consider. # of times it has been on sale, # of retailers that carry the set. How long it’s on the market. How many exclusive figs.

A general rule of thumb is to not buy sets first investing right when they come out bc you can typically find better deals later.

yo guys about a year ago ive bought 2 of the 2022 at-te sets not expecting them to stay on shelves for this long i havent realy been to up to date on the investing new recently but im curious what you guys think about this set and if its a good investing opurtunity i think its very solid for as far as i know it has great minifigs including the first ever commander cody phase 2 figure but i want to know how the insanely long shelf live is gonna impact the suplie and demand ratio and if anyone knows if its finnaly gonna retire this december or if it wil be here to stay for the summer taking in consideration the 25th aniversary of the revenge of the sith

Right now it looks like you have 1800+ calculated shipping so for me I see $58. When you sell you will get 1858 minus fees. Then you will go to ups to have them pack and ship and pay for that yourself. Then upload tracking

No worries glad you are asking! So the shipping cost you charge the buyer will go to you. You won’t have to pay district for shipping if you ship outside of district. Hope that makes sense

Correct you can charge shipping but still ship outside of district. You will just want to upload tracking as soon as you can. shipping cost does not incur district fees but does incur processing fees

I have a buyer and they agreed to pay half of the shipping for the insured. should I just have them pay 60$ more or select an option for shipping and the cost would be given to me as reimbursement for paying those shipping costs?

You can charge calculated shipping or do flat rate shipping at $125 (or whatever you want to cover shipping costs) I’m not sure exactly how much ups would charge for pack and ship and insurance so don’t take my word for it on the total cost but I would imagine it’s around there

@thedadabricks gave a great suggestion. Shipping with insurance (which you will need to have for such an expensive set will be anywhere from $40-$100. You can edit the listing to add shipping. Or I might recommend having ups pack and ship with insurance which could be around $125

You can edit the listing. Weight the set and estimate the box size then choose the options

It’s a local sell so basically I’m selling the bad batch for 150 each and the yavin 4 for 100 . And why in April ?

@jfhemrick766374 you might be able to get close to $2000 it will just take a long time to sell. Because it is so rare and expensive you have to be patient to find the right buyer. The challenge is the open box. I don't know why but on older sets like this collectors really really like when the seal tape is still in tact. Adding about 800-$1000 in value which is crazy. Go ahead and take some pics post it up here for 2k and we will see what happens. You can also turn offers on as well. You will need to apply to sell so do that as well!

i wasn't really wanting to go lower than $1600-$1800 but I also don't want to wait months to sell it.

yeah i can take pictures this weekend. i know sealed ones go for $3000 on ebay and other sites. I wasn't expecting anything close to that but was wanting to try and get close to $2000. do you think that is unrealistic? I really appreciate you responding so quick and helping me with this 🙏🏼

Justin I would love to help! You can do 1 of two things 1. List it here at district and I would love to promote it and help get it sold. Pictures are the most important thing when selling. So undoing the tape and taking pictures of the sealed bags would be important.

Shipping is also a challenge with such a large set so finding a box to fit and package well is important.

I think a recommended price to sell quickly would be $1200-$1500

2. Or if you want to be just done with it and get money quick I would I offer $750 for it.
