On February 17, 2024, as I sifted through my late mother's collection of "junk jewelry" for donation, my hand paused on a heart with a ribbon. Turning it over, the recipient's name became clear, and the significance of what I held hit me: a Purple Heart. This discovery came nearly a month after my mother's passing. Thus began my passion for jewelry, rooted in sorrow and the Purple Heart nestled within her assortment. I am now working with the Military to locate the family of the Purple Heart recipient and I have now realized the value of her collection.
