Wynton Kelly Trio & Wes Montgomery-Smokin’ at the Half Note
Cover and record have normal wear and tear for the age. Both graded VG. Verve records.
Smokin' at the Half Note is an album by Wes Montgomery and the Wynton Kelly Trio that was released in 1965. It was recorded live in June 1965 at the Half Note Club in New York City and September 22, 1965 at Van Gelder Studios in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. The album combines guitarist Montgomery with the Miles Davis rhythm section from 1959–1963 of Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Jimmy Cobb. The album's versions of "Unit 7" and "Four on Six" have helped to establish these pieces as jazz standards.

Karen (aka Kazza) Owner of Vintage Vinyl & Art Shop Downtown Stuart, Florida
Hey there! I’m Karen—affectionately known as Kazza to my friends (the good kind of Karen, I promise)! I’m the proud owner of a cozy little vintage shop nestled in the heart of Downtown Stuart, a charming coastal town on Florida’s east coast. My shop is a mix of three great passions: creating art, vinyl records and collecting all things vintage.
My Art & Upcycling Passion
From furniture and mannequins to stretched canvas and pretty much anything that stands still long enough, I’ll paint it! My art is vibrant, eclectic, and spans a range of surfaces and styles, often blending with vintage influences. I’m a big believer in upcycling—breathing new life into the old and giving it a fresh, creative twist.
The Vinyl Story
Funny enough, I didn’t start out as a vinyl record shop, but life has its surprises! When I first opened, I added a couple of crates of my own vinyl collection for customers to browse. To my surprise, they flew off the shelves while my artwork stayed put. Turns out, my love for vinyl resonated with the community, and before I knew it, vintage records became a core part of my shop’s identity. Every vinyl record in the shop is tested and cleaned, and if it’s too scratched to play, I turn it into another artistic canvas!
Resilience and Growth
I signed my lease in March 2020, right before the world came to a standstill. Despite the challenges, my shop has thrived over these last 4.5 years. Today, it’s a bustling space full of character, charm, and soul—just like the vintage pieces and records that line the shelves.
Why Vintage?
Vintage items bring so much character, history, and soul into a space. Whether it’s an old chair, a record, or a classic piece of decor, each item has its own story and charm. Keeping these pieces alive in my shop and sharing them with others is my way of honoring their unique past.
Thanks for welcoming me into this community! ✨ Peace, Love, & Vintage Charm, Karen ☮️
