Joyce Sheldon's charming tea set is a wonderful way to commemorate special days with your children, grandchildren or special someone. The set, produced with quality standards by Certified International, includes the numerous teapot with a wacky top hat and feather, matching (in the most extraordinary ways) cups and saucers, as well as a matching creamer. The sugar bowl is missing although it is possible to find and add one to your collection. The teapot with lid is 9" tall and about 9" wide from handle to spout. The diameter of the opening at the rim is 2 3/4" and the depth is about 6 1/2". The cups are 3 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter and 3" in depth. The saucers are 5" in diameter. The creamer is 3 1/2" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter measured from spout to handle and 3 1/2" in depth. There is one tiny white flea bite just off the rim of the blue cup and what appears to be a slight chip under the glaze on the rim of the creamer. The bottom edge of the pitcher has one place that seems worn down a bit but it doesn't affect the pitcher standing flat nor can it be seen when the pitcher is upright. This set would be packaged in at least two separate packages to prevent breakage. In winter months caution should be taken to let the package remain unopened for a day or so to bring the pottery to room temperature after being out in frigid weather.
